1. When I was expecting a bunch of guests at my house, I tried to get a cleaning person to come clean my bathrooms, but I was having no luck. I walked in on him down on his hands and knees scrubbing the bathroom from top to bottom, including the baseboards.
2. He never rests on the couch while I run around doing things. He cleans the kitchen while I bathe the kids, then he reads them stories and helps me put them to bed....every night.
3. Every year on my son's birthday, he gets me flowers or a plant as my "labor day" gift.
4. He makes dinner for my mother more than he should.
5. He NEVER complains if I want to go out with my girlfriends, get a pedicure, or buy an outfit for myself. In fact, he encourages it.
6. I never have to hide my spending from him because he doesn't grill me about it or pressure me in any way financially.
7. He teaches online courses in addition to his high school teaching job just so we can afford to send our children to a safe, high-quality, education-filled daycare/preschool.
8. He appreciates that I don't wear makeup.
9. He puts up with some real shit from my family and doesn't blame me for any of it.
He's a good man.
